Africa seems to have captured my heart. My first taste of Africa was two years ago when I spent weeks exploring South Africa and I promised myself I would look at more travel within the continent. This year started on a high as my new year resolution was met within a week. I found myself visiting Kenya and I honestly can’t get enough of the country. While I have plenty of stories I’d like to publish I thought the first should be a small introduction to explain very simply what I personally enjoyed and why I can’t stop recommending Magical…

Cape Town is one of the most beautiful cities to visit. It is also one of South Africa’s most popular and vibrant cities and attracts tourists and travelers alike. Cape Town offers plenty  in terms of scenic views, the waterfront, majestic sights and exquisite food. If I had to pick my very favourite city in South Africa, I’d have to choose Cape Town solely because there is plenty to do and keep yourself occupied and its so pretty it just seem very unlike a commercial city. I spent about three days in Cape Town and I think I fell in…

Summer’s here ! Well atleast for us folks in India. The heat is intense and thanks to global warming, it’s about to get a hotter. Schools are closed for a good two months and even if you’re not planning your vacation time around kids schedule, it’s still a great idea to take a break and jet off somewhere else. Most people get lazy and tend to flock to Goa which personally if you ask me is great as a destination but a tiny bit over rated. I decided to give you a quick glance at a few places I think…

Visiting South Africa was one of the best things to happen to me. I met the most beautiful people, explored an amazingly interesting country with lots of history and heartache, went on insane safari rides where I saw the Big 5 and possibly every single animal in the jungle and of course ate some of the best meals I have ever had the pleasure of eating. From the cities I visited, it is Johannesburg that turned out to be a wonderful surprise. Every single person filled my head with stories about how unsafe the city is and how I need…

I never thought I would be, but I think it’s safe to say I’ve turned into a complete safari girl. I will almost never say no to a holiday that includes staying in the jungle and waking up at odd hours or spending time in an open air jeep freezing despite layers of clothing, hoping to spot animals in the wild. This year has been great with a visit to two reserves in Madhya Pradesh and a sudden trip to South Africa. I had the time of my life in both Kanha and Pench hunting for tigers, one which was wonderfully successful…

Two weeks, three cities and a number of wonderful experiences with some of the most interesting and insanely fun people I have met. My recently trip to South Africa had many ‘firsts’ and I had such an incredible time I made a promise to myself not only to come back and explore more but to visit Africa and submerge myself in new things that I never thought I’d really do. They might not be as adventurous  or outlandish as some other people but I had a ball in this gorgeous country and instead of long detailed posts about each one,…

I’m currently in South Africa soaking up every single sunset, safari, smile and if I’m being completely honest, plate of beef. This is my first time on the Continent and I can’t help but feel blessed to experience such an incredible country. I have so many stories to share and have experienced so much in the last 12 days and it’s still far from being over. Incase you are one of the few that are not on social media and haven’t been flooded by my twitter and instagram feeds this post is ideal for you. If you are on social…
