There are very few people I know that dislike potatoes and I for one am absolutely in love with them. I don’t discriminate, I eat them in all their various forms – fried, baked, boiled, mashed or any other way they’re presented to me. I’ve been making a conscious effort to avoid them since they clearly are my weak spot and for the most part, I’m successful. However every once in a while I will complete cave into my cravings and whip up a small batch of potatoes. This time I thought I’d try something new. I’ve stopped frying completely. In…

Lower Parel, Mumbai and Todi Mills in particular have become home to the city’s new hot spots. Restaurants, bars or hangouts including Indigo deli, Moshe’s and California Pizza Kitchen are in the area. With Blue Frog and Busaba within Todi Mills this area has become the latest hub for restaurants,Cafe Zoe is the latest one on the list. Quite a task to get there, as it’s way inside the mill. I walked in and  was seated at one of their comfy couch tables. Once settled in I was able to look around and take in the space that is –…

If you’re a regular patron of the Woodside Inn at Colaba this festival is legendary. You wait all year and every year, to  make a minimum of 3 – 4 visit so you can sample all the burgers!  This year the enthusiasm was the same if not more but the experience greatly different. I reviewed Ice cream Works a couple of months ago and since then it’s become my favourite ice cream parlour in the city. Their latest outlet at Pheonix Mills in Lower Parel has an ice cream cafe, an extended list of ice creams as well as a small food menu.  For the tiny taster who is a huge ice cream fan this is too tempting to resist. So mid week I find myself seated in the spacious white interiored cafe, with its funky chairs and adorable wall paper with my gang of trusty tasters settled in pouring over what I…

This blog post is slightly different from what I’ve done so far. A friend of mine introduced me to this group of people who like to call themselves – Pet Pujari’s. The name is catchy, and based on that I wanted to know more. The group consists of self proclaimed food addicts who like nothing better than to eat and sample new treats.  They meet up twice a month for 2 events  – the fatka foodie night and the kadka foodie night. Some may think it’s corny but I think its brilliant!! The pujari’s meet up and dine at an…
