When you think of Australia several images come to mind. The great Sydney Opera House or the Great Barrier Reef, but for me, the first thing I think is Koalas. Australia as a country is home to some pretty unique wildlife and these adorable furry creatures are one of them. They’re not actually part of the bear family and they are actually just named Koalas but the resemblance has over the years christened them Koala bears. Most of these Koalas are usually found in wildlife sanctuaries or parks where you can visit them and even pose for a photo op.…

It’s that time of the year when I can’t quite decide how I feel about the new year. 2016 was a bit of a rollercoaster but for the most part all positive for which I am deeply grateful because I really can do without the drama. I was fortunate enough to tuck in a fair bit of domestic and international travel which quite honestly gives me the greatest joy. People always find it strange but I seem to be happiest at airports and hotels completely haggard and surviving on barely any sleep and superb intense itineries. No matter the stress…

I spent two weeks in the beautiful country of South Africa. I wasn’t quite sure what to expect but it seemed to take my breath away and leave me with experiences and memories I will always cherish. While the country is gorgeous it is Johannesburg in particular that snuck up on me and created quite an impression. Maybe because I stayed there the longest I was able to understand joburg better. I’m not sure but I spent five wonderful nights in Johannesburg and all of them at the gorgeous Michelangelo Hotel in Sandton. Before I left for my trip, everyone…

I started the new year with whimsical plans to travel and see as much of the world as possible. I thought this would be one of the many plans I make in my head and nothing would come of it. Life has a funny way of creeping up on you and you get sucked into it’s vortex and all these wonderful plans get left by the way. Then somehow out of nowhere I found myself travelling to the royal city of Hyderabad, the jungles of Madhya Pradesh, then to the heart of South Africa, down under in Australia and to…

One of the most annoying things you can come across is a boring meal. Food should be exciting, creative and delicious and no one knows how to kill the excitement with boring food better than most airlines. Most of the time it is meals which you know that if you made it yourself, it would turn out quite differently. Sometimes you get lucky with a really good meal but not everyone has the same luck. Not everyone is fortunate enough to travel in Business or First class and not everyone is bold enough to carry bags of thepla and munchies…

Two weeks, three cities and a number of wonderful experiences with some of the most interesting and insanely fun people I have met. My recently trip to South Africa had many ‘firsts’ and I had such an incredible time I made a promise to myself not only to come back and explore more but to visit Africa and submerge myself in new things that I never thought I’d really do. They might not be as adventurous  or outlandish as some other people but I had a ball in this gorgeous country and instead of long detailed posts about each one,…

I’m currently in South Africa soaking up every single sunset, safari, smile and if I’m being completely honest, plate of beef. This is my first time on the Continent and I can’t help but feel blessed to experience such an incredible country. I have so many stories to share and have experienced so much in the last 12 days and it’s still far from being over. Incase you are one of the few that are not on social media and haven’t been flooded by my twitter and instagram feeds this post is ideal for you. If you are on social…

When you think of Goa you usually think beautiful beaches, a sun kissed tan and lots of prawn curry. When I think of Goa, I think of all that along with a tall glass of Feni. This cashew inspired alcohol is an integral part of Goa’s identity which makes the fruit it comes from incredibly popular. Four years ago, the Park Hyatt Goa Resort & Spa decided to pay homage to this fruit that is essential to the Goan way of life. They launched an amazing event called the Cashew Trail which has since grown from strength to strength and morphed…

One of the best things in life is your family. When you get to experience something breathtaking and stunning with the people you love it becomes an even better experience. Thanks to my adorable aunt, four crazy women made their way to the jungles of Madhya Pradesh and enjoyed seven days of pure bliss. Starting with a mildly traumatic take off, beautiful tiger sightings, joy rides in the jungle, a wild jungle beast ( ok maybe not ) entering my room, and ending with a hilarious episode with airport security this all girls trip was fantastic. As they say, what…
